Dream Big this Holiday Season

Monday, November 13, 2017

The holiday season is already upon us, and therefore, gift giving is just around the corner!

Are you in search for the perfect present to give your loved ones?

I partnered up with Mastermind Toys again this year, and my kids and I brought along my best friend Marlena Ochnik with her toddler A.

I know that I generally blog about early childhood education, the Reggio Emilia philosophy, my workshops, and all things creative, however, sometimes it's kind of nice to let you inside my world as a Mommy...

39 weeks: Pregnancy confessions and cravings

Friday, August 11, 2017

Is it already 39 weeks?  In some ways this pregnancy has gone by very quickly, and in other ways it has lasted longer than ever!  Perhaps it's because I cannot wait to meet this little lady and experience all the ways that she will change our family.  On the other hand I am not in a rush to deliver, as I feel that all good things come to those who wait. She will make her debut when she's ready!

Co-constructing a learning environment

Thursday, August 10, 2017

In June I had the opportunity to return to Simcoe County and co-present with Ellen Brown on a topic that remains a passion of mine!  Our session was entitled, "Exploring ideas of environments that support early learning interactions in emergent curriculum settings."

Happy August 1st!

Today I am excited to make a big blog announcement!

It's been about a year in the making (as you can imagine I have had more than my share of distractions with a one year old/second pregnancy), and my first eResource and eWorkshop on Inquiry-based learning are available/ready for download.

5 Differences Between my First and Second Pregnancies

Tuesday, July 11, 2017

I cannot claim that my pregnancies were completely alike, but there were definitely some changes with carrying a girl or even being pregnant for the second time...  It makes me wonder what the delivery will be like, and also what she will be like as an infant in comparison to my son!

Documentation Design + Summer Learning

Wednesday, June 7, 2017

As you all know I have been instructing the Kindergarten course to teachers and early childhood educators at York University... We have been deep in discussion about pedagogical documentation and have found the work of Dr. Carol Anne Wien and Susan Stacey to be very insightful for our learning journeys.
